Recently I heard that The Fatted Calf, in downtown Clayton, was poised to shut its doors for good at the end of the month. I absolutely love that place and think its the best hamburger in the city by far.  The Fatted Calf is a staple St. Louis restaurant thats in its 45th year of business so to see this place go will be a total disappointment.  The owners say their daily patronage has dwindled the past few years and unless theres a dramatic change in business, or someone invests or buys, they’ll be forced to close up.  If you’ve never been there to eat, or if you go all the time, you need to get down there quick and enjoy it while you can.  Hopefully all the attention they’ve received lately will make the difference in keeping it going.  The Fatted Calf is located at 12 S.
